The cooler nights have brought the fish into the deeper water. Pegs 7-10, 15, 16, 28 and 30 have been producing the best catches. Ian Spiers caught a 30lb common and 27lb 8oz from peg 7. Kevin Hearle had a 12lb mirror and 25lb common from the same swim. Chris Claxton caught two mid double mirrors of 16lb 8oz and 16lb 2oz. Matthew Clarke landed a 26lb 10oz on his first sesson on peg 15, fishing at 70 yards on the gravel bar. No.2 Lake has been producing some big lumps. Mick Cowan caught two thirties within a few hours of one another, 34lb 10oz and 35lb 12oz commons. Martin Laitt fished an overnight session and caught a 32lb 11oz. Jim Sowter had three fish on his first session, 24lb, 27lb 3oz and 19lb 4oz. Barry Harmer caught a 23lb common, David Stiff a 19lb 10oz common and Simon Harbottle a 24lb 7oz mirror. |

The Day Ticket Lake is fishing well. Kevin Lord came down to the lake targeting his first 30lb common, deciding to do a 5 night session on peg 29 he thought he stood a good chance of getting his target. Within 12 hours he landed his first fish of 34lbs. Already getting his first 30 he was chuffed to bits. Second fish out was a 31lb 4oz common. Next fish was a 24lb 2oz and a mid double linear. Mid-week ticket member Jamie Edge caught a 26lb common from peg 7 within half an hour of arriving. He also caught commons of 12lb, 15lb and a 19lb mirror. Paul Lees caught five twenties: 22lb 5oz, 21lb 10oz, 28lb 12oz, 26lb 8oz and 25lb 8oz. The big common was caught by Steve Woolnough on No.2 Lake, weighing in at 42lb 7oz. Matt Brooks had a couple of mirrors of 19lb and 32lb 3oz from Lawn. Matt Patiki fished the Car Park swim and caught a common of 35lb 6oz. Barry Harmer fished an overnight session on Lawn and caught two commons at 38lb and 19lb 12oz. |
